Cara, Suki and Jourdan sport monogrammed ponchos for Burberry finale

The ubiquitous Cara Delevingne led the army of models wearing personalised colour block ponchos at Christopher Bailey's captivating Burberry show finale.

Marching down the runway with her 'CJD' monogrammed wrap nonchalantly slung over her shoulder, the model of the moment was followed by Jourdan Dunn and Suki Waterhouse, whose Hollywood boyfriend Bradley Cooper watched from the front row. Bradley wasn't the only A lister to turn heads at the presentation.

Kensington Gardens descended into chaos as One Direction singer Harry Styles arrived to take in the show, which signalled a different direction for the British brand.

There was a distinctly autumnal colour palette of burnt orange, dark yellow and lilac turned to jade green, dark blue and burgundy as autumn turned into winter, and a bohemian vibe thanks to the swirling floral print-emblazoned classic trench coat and slinky scarf dresses belted at the waists.

The show, called The Bloomsbury Girls, took inspiration from the British decorative art of the Bloomsbury set and Charleston, the country home and meeting place for the writers, painters and intellectuals who formed the group.

The catwalkers were rumoured to have kept their ponchos as souvenirs after the show. But for us mere mortals, there is some good news: until March 3, the poncho is available to buy – monogrammed – at Burberry.com. It will, however, set you back $1,395…
