Creative director Avsh Alom Gur:
Raymond 'Ossie' Clark was a major figure in London during the Sixties and Seventies, when he counted Mick Jagger, The Beatles and Liza Minnelli among his celebrity clientele. In 1997, a year after his death at the age of 55, the label was relaunched with Avsh Alom Gur as creative director.
Avsh graduated with an MA from Central Saint Martins and established his eponymous label in the UK in 2005, based on designs combining Eastern and Western elements with urban street graffiti and underground grunge. The following year he launched his spring/summer collection at LFW with an off-schedule show followed by an exhibition at the Natural History Museum.
Describing his designs as effortless, fun and feminine, Avsh says his ideal customer would be Elizabeth Jagger, for her unconventional beauty and free spirit.
Today he works as a freelance fashion consultant for leading fashion houses worldwide
