Move over New York, it's London's turn

Some of the guests had flown in straight from New York.

And willowy cover girl Erin O'Connor was seen exclaiming she'd just dropped in briefly before dashing off to a birthday flamenco dancing session with her boyfrend.

Meanwhile, Vogue's deputy editor Emily Sheffield, the sister of  Samantha Cameron, was looking as chic as ever.

That was the buzz at the first party to kick off to London Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2011.

But Friday officially marks the start of proceedings with Paul Costelloe leading the shows, a fashion tradition of the capital.

House of Holland - whose muse is Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts - will show on Saturday, whilst Matthew Williamson, who dresses the likes of Sienna Miller and Blake Lively, is scheduled for Sunday.

But the biggest names, among them Christopher Kane, Burberry Prorsum and Paul Smith, will take centre stage on Monday.

All eyes will be on the catwalk as designers showcase their Autumn/Winter 2011 trends. But there's another show equally as important to watch: the runway audience.

The A-listers will have spent weeks preparing their ensembles in order to ensure their place in the fashion pecking order.

And with live streaming on hellomagazine.com and in-demand clips of the shows, you can witness the action unfold first-hand.

Let the proceedings commence!
