Madcap, inventive and brilliantly British, London Fashion Week put on a show worthy of its reputation.

When we weren't mesmerised by the full on rainstorm recreated by Burberry, we were busy wondering who or what the 7ft manequinn was in the front row.

And then, of course, there was an ample opportunity for star spotting. Salma Hayek, Rihanna and One Direction heart-throb Harry Styles all created waves of excitement.

And some of the shows were so packed, that at one latecomer Paloma Faith was forced to sit on the floor.
