Samantha Cameron and her children champion British fashion

The Prime Minister's children repeated the star turn which wowed guests at last season's Downing St party when the fashion glitterati gathered once again for Samantha Cameron's traditional end of term bash.

Nancy, eight, and Arthur, six, swooped in, charming the likes of Sir Paul Smith and Nicole Farhi along with newer names such as Mary Katrantzou.

Even Vogue's famously reserved editor Anna Wintour was seen beaming at British politics' most exclusive address.

And then, as the grown ups tucked into bubbly and canapes, they slipped off to bed with a little encouragement from their father David.

Their mother, meanwhile, underlined her message that she was "serious" about fashion by rocking a hot pink and turquoise gown by Roksanda Illinc.

"British fashion is no longer just about strong creativity, it is about strong businesses too" said Samantha, a former of creative director with luxury brand Smythson – adding that "we need to not just design in Britain, but make in Britain".
