London Fashion Week: Emilia Wickstead displays beautiful designs fit for a Duchess

She's too discreet to mention it.

But among the customers said to slip into Emilia Wickstead's Belgravia atelier is the Duchess of Cambridge.

For years, the New Zealand-born designer has been creating exquisitely cut dresses from the most exclusive postcode in London.

Now Emilia - who dressed Samantha Cameron for that first all-important Downing St photocall - has presented at London Fashion Week. 

And her latest offerings are likely to tempt Britain's most high-profile young brunette.

Her ladylike confections with precision pleats and high necklines are just the sort of thing the modern woman needs for a special lunch with the in-laws, wowing at a cocktail party or indeed on a royal tour as the most watched consort in history.

And perhaps the Duchess's style has even inspired the talented designer.

The models' hair - blowdried into soft, cascading curls - was reminiscent of Kate's signature locks.
