Girls night out for Rihanna and Cara Delevingne

Pop megastar Rihanna added some A-list glitz to the London Fashion Week line-up on Saturday, unveiling her collaboration with high street retailer River Island.

To celebrate her successful show, the singer decided to let her hair down and head out with model of the moment Cara Delevingne. The ladies, who first met at the Victoria's Secret show last year when they were made appearances on the catwalk, headed out to the celebrity hotspot the Box together for a girls night out.

They were joined by Cara's best friend and fellow model Jourdan Dunn and Rihanna's friend Melissa Forde, who kept fans updated on their evening through Instagram.

Cara was showing off a typically quirky ensemble of high-waisted denim shorts, a patterned hoody and over-the-knee black boots featuring laces.

And songstress Rihanna was putting her most fashionable foot forward, wearing a tight LBD, leather jacket and strappy sandals for the occasions. She paired the all-black look with dark purple lipstick and curls for her dip-dyed locks.

The 24-year-old's collection with River Island received praise from fashion critics when it was revealed earlier on in the day. At the Old Sorting Office in London, fashion's elite gathered among heavy bass music, smoke machines and endless champagne to watch the presentation.

An army of models marched through a tiered catwalk of five square compartments, pausing to showcase midriff-baring mesh tops, jersey shift dresses and thigh-high boots. The line stayed true to Rihanna's typically raunchy style, as LA model Tolula Adeyemi agrees: @I loved it - it's so Rihanna, it's got Rihanna's name all over it," she said from the crowd.

Rihanna came on stage to give designer's customary bow, looking uncharacteristically shy yet delighted with the warm reception.
