Pop princesses line the front row at Julien MacDonald
With all five girls from girl band the Saturdays lined up alongside Pixie Lott, it was all eyes on the front row at Julien Macdonald on Saturday.
The girl band members showed off their tanned and toned pins in thigh-skimming ensembles as they lent their support to the celebrity designer's London Fashion Week show. Pregnant Rochelle Humes was radiant, showing off her blossoming baby bump in a tight-fitting LBD and blazer. New mum Una Healy, meanwhile, dazzled in a silver minidress that oozed glitz and glamour.
Vanessa White and Frankie Sandford opted to channel the monochrome trend that is sweeping the fashion world, showing off black and white graphic ensembles while Mollie King kept it simple in a body con long-sleeved black dress that she teamed with her trusty nude skyscrapers.
As they waited for the show to begin, the ladies chatted to fellow popstar Pixie, who was attending the show with her super-chiselled model boyfriend Oliver Cheshire. Pixie had opted for a low cut, detailed black minidress that was perfectly offset by a traffic-stopping scarlet pair of stilettos.
The pop princesses were exactly the sorts of girls Julien's collection was aimed at. With shimmering sequins, heavy fringing, plunging necklines and party girl hemlines, it was a young, fun and flirty collection that's bound to impress the fashion world.
Key looks included a minidress adorned with delicate feathers and black leaf detailing that offered the effect of body armour, while racer backs and mesh inserts added a lighthearted feel to the display.
It was the first show for the designer in two seasons. And he was delighted to be making a comeback, saying backstage: "I'm most looking forward to putting on a fantastic, glamorous show! One of the things I love most about showing at London Fashion Week is working with a fabulous team of people to put it all together.
He continued: "There is always a buzz in the air and it's that energy that I am most looking forward to."
