Backstage after his London Fashion Week show, Julien Macdonald told HELLO! Online that he would "love to dress Kate Middleton".
"I'd give Kate the Julien Macdonald sparkle factor!" he laughed.
The designer, who was recently unveiled as a contestant on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, also talked about the gruelling training he's doing to help him prepare for the show.
"Strictly has engulfed my life," he said. "I am having the time of my life and I'm looking forward to the shows but it's really hard work! It's not easy.
"I danced solid for two days but then I had to put my Dorothy shoes back in the cupboard and say, 'Right. Now I'm doing fashion!'"
While chatting to reporters backstage, he was greeted by his dance partner Janette Manrara who congratulated him on the "beautiful" show.

"If you can make those dresses, you can definitely cha cha cha!" she laughed.
The high-octane collection, with its stunning array of sequin and sparkly dresses and catsuits, also seemed to be inspired by Strictly. "Strictly has taken over my life," Julien said. "so it's probably rubbed off on the collection!"
Other contestants had turned out to support Julien, including Abbey Clancy and Vanessa Feltz.
Fashion model Abbey took to her newly created Instagram account to give her fans an insight into her view from the front row, posting a photo of one of Julien's glittering creations on the catwalk.
"So glad to have the Strictly competitors and dancers coming to my show tomorrow!" tweeted Julien on Friday. "Can't wait to see all the lovely ladies in Julien Macdonald."
The Welsh designer was clearly thrilled to see his fellow contestants at the show and was excitedly tweeting about the arrival of his special guests.
"The gorgeous @OfficialClancy has just arrived; #LFW" wrote Julien, shortly followed by "Look who's here - it's @TheBrendan_Cole #Strictly comes to #lfw!!"
