Lily Allen makes stylish LFW appearance

Lily Allen lit up the front row in a traffic-stopping shade of red as she attended the Giles show at London Fashion Week on Monday night.

The singer paired her scarlet peacoat with animal print peep-toe heels and black cigarette trousers.

Lily, who gave birth to her second child earlier this year, was seated next to good pal Nick Grimshaw. There was, however, one unknown person that Lily requested not to be placed next to.

"@gilesgilesgiles so is there a show tomorrow?" she tweeted on Sunday. "You'd better bike over that gilet… And don't put me next to you know who."

Lily cast a discerning eye over Giles Deacon's new offerings, which were modelled by Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger.

Cara had rushed over from the Burberry show, which rumoured boyfriend and One Direction star Harry Styles had attended.

Also sitting front row was Strictly Come Dancing star Abbey Clancy, who wore a gorgeous monochrome print dress by the designer.

It's no surprise that the star glammed up to attend Giles' show – she wore a wedding dress that he had designed to marry Peter Crouch back in 2011.

The collection was dark and eerie. "I wanted it to be a dark summer," Giles said backstage, "not a happy-go-lucky floral thing."

Talking about his decision to include bat motifs into the collection, he added, "I really like bats. Everyone seems to. I'm obsessed with bat swarms."

The bat-emblazoned leather tunics and overblown skirts were paired with big, black bat hats designed by milliner Stephen Jones.
