HELLO! Online's Fashion writer Alexandra Light's LFW photo diary

After weeks of preparation and hundreds of "What on earth am I going to wear?" moments, London Fashion Week has once again been and gone in the blink of an eye.

I'm going to miss celeb-spotting on the FROW, dazzling presentations from talented British designers and hours spent people-watching on the cobbles of Somerset House. But my feet need a much-deserved break from five-inch heels and my overworked Instagram account is ready to resume normal service.

Speaking of which, I've compiled the best photos that I took during the five-day style parade to give you a behind-the-scenes look at #LFW.

L: Posing on the cobbles of the Fashion Week hub — Somerset House.

R: Having some photo fun with my Topshop Unqiue mirrored invite.

L: For the first day I wore a Gestuz leather jacket, Topshop tshirt, Cheap Monday skinnies, Zara heels, a Michael Kors bag and a leopard print umbrella from Berlin (it was raining, of course).

You witness all kinds of weird and wonderful outfits at LFW, but I favour a simpler style so tend not to get too dressed up.

R, top: The second day I wore a Hugo Boss blazer, a Monki denim shirt and black floral jeans.

R, bottom: A few of the invites — including a closer look at my personal favourite, the 'Out of This World' Anya Hindmarch lollipop — and LFW goodies covering my desk.

L: A nude sequin catsuit stole the show at Julien Macdonald.

R: I interviewed the designer backstage and snapped him chatting to gorgeous singer Paloma Faith.

L: Topshop's cute pop-up café gave me a chance to warm up and make notes after the show.

R: I might have been the only person in attendance to actually eat the little desserts they provided...

L: Waiting for the Erdem show to start (fashion shows nearly always start at least twenty minutes after the scheduled time).

R: A gorgeous cream hydrangea was placed on every seat in the venue.

L: On the way out of the show, I snapped Poppy Delevingne posing with her bouquet.

R: Good pals Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof stayed behind to catch up.

L: Backstage at Mary Katrantzou in a beautiful West London venue.

R: I spotted socialite Olivia Palermo looking typically stylish on the front row.

Pretty prints and girly silhouettes were the order of the day at Mary Katrantzou.

L: I paired a white netted top with a monochrome jumpsuit and my trusty Gestuz leather jacket to attend the Giles show, where I was seated opposite Lily Allen.

R: Cara Delevingne modelled a huge bat hat by Stephen Jones as she walked in the show alongside her housemate Georgia May Jagger.

L: Backstage at the Simone Rocha show. Going backstage isn't as glamorous as it sounds — it's manic and there's hardly any room to move... There is, however, catering, which definitely makes up for feeling squashed and in the way.

R: Pretty designs waiting to be modelled on the runway.

This was my favourite show, where models were suspended in Anya Hindmarch's imagined outer space to showcase her latest designs.
