Front row at Burberry: Donna Air's LFW diary

There is no doubt the Burberry show is the jewel in Fashion Week's crown, and is always quite the production.

Each year Kensington Park Gardens sees a convoy of cars, hordes of gathered press and well-known faces from around the world attend to show their support for Christopher Bailey and the wonderful clothes he creates. I am still wearing his coats and dresses that I bought over 10 years ago, and I know that even my most recent purchase of the infamous heart print shirt will become an iconic and vintage piece in my collection.

Sienna Miller was there looking like a goddess in green, as was Paloma Faith while Samantha Cameron worked pops of orange. I couldn't quite see what Harry Syles was wearing as he was surrounded by so many security guards! Personally I think he should have just asked Phillip Green and Harold Tillman to do the job — nobody messes with those two!

Finally, Anna Wintour made her way to the front row from backstage in a stunning duck egg blue coat. Once Anna is seated you know things are about to start! I also realised the colour of her coat could be a hint of things to come in the show — rightly so, Anna was the only one wearing new season before it even hit the catwalk. That's just one of the perks of being the editor of Vogue!

As soon as the sound of Happy Together by Misty Miller came out of the speakers and the first design hit the runway I knew Christopher had done it again. I was like a kid in a candy-coloured sweet shop as shades of dusky pinks, blues, and the familiar lilac started to stimulate my fashions senses.

The twist on the signature trench this season is cut out lace. Another of my favourite items was a big, loose-fitting pink coat with jewels on. Cara Delevingne, Jordan Dunn and other well-known faces rocked look after look with accessories in bright greens, yellows and blues which added extra fire to an already hot collection. I can't wait until they are taking orders and really do have to get myself some of those big pants!

The big finale as petals fell from the ceiling to huge applause, and I guess on this occasion it wasn't just Christopher Bailey that came out smelling of roses!
