In pictures: Matthew Williamson's starry front row

Fashion designer Matthew Williamson pulled in a typically starry front row at his Autumn/Winter 2014 show at London fashion Week on Saturday.

US socialite Olivia Palermo had flashbulbs blazing as she sauntered in wearing a black fur coat. She paired the outwear with matching fur heels, ripped skinny jeans and a sky blue car-print smock jacket.

Also turning heads was TV presenter Cat Deeley, sporting a sequinned minidress from the new collection, and It girl Poppy Delevingne. The blonde beauty was as stylish as ever in a teal mini dress paired with a blue printed fur coat and black heeled boots. A Chanel mini cross-body bag completed the look.

Matthew unveiled a 70s glamour-inspired collection with a "playful and exuberant spirit".

Fittingly, the chief motif was the star, emblazoned on leather leggings and miniskirts in hand-cut beads before adorning striped dresses in hologram sequins.

Short swing coats came embroidered with muted paisley prints and Turkish rug-inspired patterns, while an eye-popping sequinned silver shift dress had phone cameras snapping away.

Colour was key — the focus lay with crimson red and cornflower blue, with pops of cobalt and neon yellow lifting the palette.
