Daisy Lowe is the ambassador for London Fashion Weekend

Are you looking forward to London Fashion Weekend? What's your favourite part?

"I can't wait! The Saatchi Gallery is such a beautiful space so it's great to be back there again this year. Shopping in carefully curated spaces makes the whole experience so much more pleasurable. I always really look forward to the talks, it's a great way for people to gain access to information of the industry."

Do you like being in the fashion industry? What would you change about it if you could?

"I love working in the fashion industry, it's full of so much creativity and beauty. It would be great to shoot seasons in their natural time (warm in summer, cold in winter) but of course in fashion we are always looking forward, so always working ahead.

You're often credited with promoting positive body image – does that put you under pressure to be a good role model?

"Being ‘Body Positive’ to me is about being realistic with yourself and others, managing expectations. Finding a balance in your thoughts and not being too hard on yourself. This is an ethos I use for myself, so there's no pressure to be a role model as such, but if it resonates with others then that's a real positive movement."

Do you ever feel under pressure to change your body shape?

"I think it's important to stay healthy and often I put pressure on myself to work out a lot and eat properly, so that I feel I am the best version of myself. But I don't really have the thought of wishing I could change my body shape. Besides, I like having naughty treats too much – most recently I have taken to the Naughty But Rice Salted Caramel flavour, I just can't get enough of it."

What was your biggest ever fashion mistake?

"No mistakes, just lesson and movements in your life. I'm sure if I looked back now there probably would be a few that I would wince at, but then you have to put things into perspective and what was trending at that time."

What's been your favourite ever outfit moment?

"I bought a black Azzedine Alaia dress a few years ago. Alaia's earlier works are complete masterpieces not only for the beautiful craftsmanship but also because of the time in which it was create. Alaia originally designed for the 80's figure when models were Amazonian goddesses. His designs have continued to keep appreciation of the female form and creating beautiful streamlined silhouettes. I always feel sophisticated, powerfyl and a little bit naught when the Azzedine Alaia dress comes out to play."

Who are your favourite designers?

"Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Christopher Kane and Simone Rocha. I can’t wait to see Emilia’s show at London Fashion Weekend on the Thursday evening."

Daisy Lowe will be doing a Q&A session on Saturday 27th as part of London Fashion Weekend. For more information head to londonfashionweekend.co.uk/schedule
